Reading for the Crafty

With the time change and winter rolling in, thoughts turn to indoor pursuits. Many Nova Scotians are renowned for their craftier side and with Christmas just weeks away a homemade gift is always welcomed.

If you are looking for some inspiration, there are a myriad of crafting titles available just waiting for idle hands.

Whether you knit, crochet, cross-stitch or scrapbook, your hands are busy. Too busy to hold a book?

Try doing what I do when I cross-stitch... Listen to a book! Many favorite titles are available on compact disc and also on downloadable audio. So listen while you create!

If you are a mystery lover and enjoy reading about others who enjoy crafts, try a Craft mystery for some enjoyable whodunits.

  1. I am definitely spending as much time as possible knitting, trying to finish a couple of gifts, and looking to craft fairs and sources of creativity around Halifax before the holidays! I like to visit the Spring Garden branch and look at what knitting books are new. Thanks for the crafty post!
