Time-Travel Books to Check Out

Now you’ve done it. You had a blast with your friends, letting loose and, um, dancing on the table with that gorgeous guy! Unfortunately, those less than flattering photos have made it on to Facebook, compliments of your friends.

Have you had moments where you wish you could go back in time and change a situation? Wish you hadn’t done or said something? You’re not the only one. Writers have been exploring the concept of time travel in their works for years. Some are classics, some contemporary. Others are well-written and others are a downright flop. Whatever your tastes, time-travel is a concept that interests most of us. I always wish I could go back in time to meet Jane Austen or Louisa May Alcott. Imagining walking through stately manor houses in the English countryside or in Concord, Massachusetts during the beginning of the Civil War?

Here is a list of time-travel books that may peak your interest, and are definitely worth checking out!

The Time-Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

The Man Who Loved Jane Austen by Sally Smith O'Rourke

The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams

The Time Machine by H.G. Wells

Martian Time-slip by Philip Dick

Pirates by Linda Lael Miller

  1. I love time travel stories - and this is a great selection. It really shows how different authors can have such very different approaches to the theme. Your readers might also like these:

'The House on the Strand' by Daphne du Maurier (romance)
'Making Time' by Stephen Fry (comedy)
    'Timescape' by Gregory Benford (sci-fi)
