I picked up this book to read, mainly because it was a Canadian author and the book was set in Newfoundland. I loved it! Great writing, vivid imagery and memorable characters.

I just picked up...and had to put down "Why Men Lie" by Linden MacIntyre. While I loved the first book "the Bishops Man" that had the same characters I just could not get interested in them this time and I am not quite sure why.

I thought this was a great read. It does read a bit faster than the original tales, but I think that's a good fit for a modern audience. The setting and use of characters felt very authentic - a great addition to the Holmes canon!

"Girl Wanted, the chase for Sarah Pender" is very far to be a good "fact crime" book. The book doesn't cover every angle of the Sarah pender case. In fact, many key informations are kept from the readers to mislead them. Some documents are misquoted. The case is poorly researched and thus, there are many inaccuracies.

Please read Debunking Girl Wanted to make up your own mind, instead of blindly believing Steve Miller.

I saw "Moneyball" the other night and thought it was a pretty good movie, but I'm definitely pulling for "The Descendants." I just think the author of the book is a doll and the cast was phenomenal! Not to discredit Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt, but they're completely different types of movies.

I think it's seriously awesome how "human" Kaui (author of "The Descendants") seems. Seeing her in interviews and everything, she just appears to be so grateful for such an incredible opportunity and almost startled by her own accomplishments! I saw this interview the other day and thought it was adorable that she couldn't even recall the designer she was wearing at the Writer's Guild Awards. America could learn a lot more from a woman like this as opposed to the majority of people we see on Reality TV!
